Cumin
I only have 1 cumin plant in my garden. I love the small yellow flowers, I love the taste from the cumin seeds in my mouth and also in my cooking. Cumin is also known as Jeera (Hindi), Seeragam (Tamil) and Jintan Manis in Bahasa Malaysia.

Forgive me for the bad pictures……am still learning….
Cumin is a spice that is used as medicinal herb as well as in food preparation. Cumin is believed to be helpful for digestive disorders along with flatulence, indigestion, diarrhea, nausea, morning sickness, and atonic dyspepsia and also common cold. In this case, the seeds are boiled in hot water (as making tea) normaly about 1 teaspoon seeds to 1 glass water.
As for me, I normally have this in an air tight bottle in my office and eat them whenever I feel sleepy…..helps to wake me up
At Mahanandi, Indra, has post a simple yet and wonderful recipe on Cumin…Check it out…you’ll not regret
